Why?

You may be thinking, "Why would I ever need any writing skills?". Well, no matter what job you pursue in future, literature always comes in somewhere, even if you are mowing your neighbours lawn, 90% of the time you would send them an email or a DM, they are all forms of literature!

This quote is one of the things that helped me write for The Village Magazine. It helped me understand that no writer is perfect at first, it takes time, studying, reading and more to become not perfect, but better.

Not only is writing a skill, it is a party trick for yourself. Hear me out here... One day you get bored and decide to hop onto your laptop and write the first chapter on a book that came into your mind that morning, it has now been two hours and you have written not one, not two, not four, not eight but twelve chapters for this imaginary book that just came to your mind. Over the course of that month you absolutely grind hard writing this book. By the end of that month you have created your first book, you decide to send it off to a editor in London and they accept the offer to edit it because of how much they like it. After the editing process you realise that this is something you really enjoy and decide to send it off to a publishing company in Bristol. Six months after you decide to write a book one boring, rainy day, it is now published and selling off the shelves in Waterstones all over Britain. Fast forward an extra five years and you have just won the New York Times Best-Seller! All because of one rainy day you are a millionaire.

A real-life example of this is J.K. Rowling. Originally she lived in a small house that was slowly crumbling to pieces, as they didn't have a TV she decided to write her daughter books, after writing the books she had an idea to publish the books. Twelve different publishers she went to before being accepted by Bloomsbury, Twelve. Fast forward five years and her net worth is reported at $1 Billion.

Why don't you give it a go..?
