Good evening everyone, if you perhaps came here from the QR code of the magazine that I put out, I hope that you subscribe to my newsletter to stay updated with my journey through life and all of my recent articles :)
Before I show you the first paragraph on my recent article, I would like to tell you about what this article means to me. I wanted to explore what Christmas means for different people, whether that is celebrating with family at home or not celebrating at all. I don't think that people recognise what it is like for some people that live alone in a big city or somewhere remote. They may be refugee and separated with family, only connected via online zoom calls.
Now, without further ado... I present to you The Real Meaning of Christmas.
It's that time of the year when fairy lights are all tangled, mince pies are multiplying, and everyone's pretending they didn't start their Christmas shopping late, again. December is here, and with it comes that real rush of festive spirit coupled with the realisation that somehow, another whole year has passed. Seriously, where did it go? It's easy to get caught up in school, work, or life in general, but Christmas reminds us to slow down a little. It's like the universe saying, "Hey, take a breath. You made it." Of course, the festive spirit isn't just about presents or sparkly decorations-although they're definitely a bonus. It's about giving-not just gifts, but time, kindness, and effort. Maybe that means helping your mum with wrapping, checking in on a friend who's had a tough year, or just saying "thank you" more often. Those small things matter more than any fancy gadget under the tree.
